ewwwwww quiten=evil bastard. There is enough tension to make things go haywire between Spike and Buffy. Ughhhh now him. I truly truly hope that Buffy does not jump to HUGE conclusions here and talks to Spike right away after her comverstation. She is really being selfish and yes using things as excuses. I think she needs to call Mona talk to her. Mona helped her before, maybe it's time she stepped in again. Gave Buffy a reality check so speak. Awesome chapter...Gahhhh tension building..You rock cliffhanger Goddess LOL

My that was evil, and golly I hope Travers isn't the last straw on that camels back. This really is high quality angst. Tryng to work those iffy relationship situations out, and everyone always says the wrong thing and takes the now wrong things said to that whole wrong level. I remember arguments like that... I loved the chapter, angst or not, and I love this story, and darn you, I will be very eagerly awaiting the next update!

As always, a wonderful chapter. Great writing. Even though, I'm not crazy about the tension, I know that relationships have rough spots like this all the time. It's says a lot about your writing that I feel like I'm spirally out of control right along with them as I read. But, as I have enough of that in real life right now, I think I'm gonna take a step back from this one for a little bit until things, at least with me, aren't quite as crazy. I look forward to reading more of this great story in the future.

Hmm... This story has become terribly real. (And I don't mean terribly in a bad way.) -- Every relationship consists of choices. And compromise. You can love each other, but you still have your own plans, your own wishes. To make them fit together can be awfully difficult sometimes...
It was obvious Spike would have to go on touring someday. I wonder how they would have solved this conflict before their issues. Buffy changed towns to be with Spike, quit school - and now she is asked to accompany him and leave again what she built herself?? I understand that this is not what she wants at the moment, moreover with Joyce and everything. However, I understand Spike as well... Really difficult! And now Travers! He is going to tell Buffy that she's the wrong person for Spike to be with, if he wants to have success in showbiz... I hope she won't believe in him...

I liked this chapter very much, and I'm sad that we have to wait a while for the next one - on the other hand, it's only a week that we have to be patient....So alright! Have fun out of town and come back well - and thank you for a chapter that made me think. :)

Loved the chapter, it's breaking my heart and I think both of them are at fault but I love this story regardless. Ignore the trolls that are trying to pick fights because that's what they are TROLLS. Don't response. You know that sign at the zoo? "Don't feed the animals?" Well, stop feeding them, because you are feeding their hate.

I have this insane need to try to explain myself to people, but with so many people hellbent on taking everything I say and twisting it for a fight, I'm making myself refrain in hopes that the reviews about the story can go back to being about the story and I can actually enjoy writing this again.

He was going to push it back and try to get over his hurt and anger the way he'd done so many other times with her. Push it back.. that won't work forever. Some day it will get too much and Spike will explode.. so to say. It would be better if he would really start talking to Buffy. But I don't see it happen so soon. He's not ready. Going on tour now? The next hard test for their relationship (what's left of it at the moment *sigh*). We could find a way to work all of that out Spike is right.. if both are wanting it. Buffy could still go back to her mum on the weekends (or during the week when Spike is busy).. if she would want. Spike would go for a compromise if it helps her. ~ Uh-huh.. BAD, very bad cliffhanger indeed. Quentin Travers? I fear I know what he wants: Making Buffy to break up with Spike for good, especially now for the tour. I do hope very hard that Buffy won't do (/ pull and Angelus??) it like Angel did in the series because he wanted the best for Buffy. I hope she don't forget that Spike still wants her to spend the rest of his life with her. ~ Have a good time! Till you're back I'll be busy crossing my fingers :)

Ooohhh--- Evil cliffhanger! ;) Things are really going to get turned up a notch on the tension-meter now! I wish desperately that Spike could give voice to all of the thoughts in his head, rather than just simplifying his answer and leaving Buffy to make the wrong conclusions about him "wanting her". She's certainly in the right head-space, though, about the choices that now face her. Looking forward to the conversation that is to unfold between Quentin & Buffy.

TENSE...That was the tone for that chapter..You wrote the tension that is building between Buffy and Spike very realistically. Very nervous about what Quentin is up to...betting that it's not good for Spike and Buffy though. Have a safe trip...Looking forward to the next chapter when you get back : )

I'm offended. I must have missed something because I don't really get your attitude to some of the reviews you've gotten, especially the first one you actually responded to - annefan I believe. And you are right, "Author's Response: THIS IS NOT A DISCUSSION BOARD. THIS IS A REVIEW FORUM." However, you can't simply dismiss or insult a fan of your work, stellar review or not, and possibly expect that fan not to respond back. Hello pot.

I suppose it would do little good to actually review the story at this point because I'm quite sure I will be treated the same as you've done to others who have simply expressed an opinion. And come ON...as an artist (b/c that's what you're doing, being an artist here) and as an adult, show a bit of grace when you recieve what you percieve as negative feedback. Otherwise you just make yourself seem silly. Oh, and save yourself the trouble with this review and just hit the delete button. I don't really want to read anything you have to say save an apology for reacting so badly.

GOD WHY DO THEY KEEP FIGHTING!!!!! i dont understand why they just dont talk about wats upsetting them and work it out. i love this story and am happy u updated. i really hope that buffy actually considers going on tour with spike and the band and that they work out their problems. also i hope that watever quentin tells buffy doesnt scare buffy out of the relationship with spike. please update as soon as u can, i cant wait to read the next chapter on the 27th. thanx

Buffy's been looking at things from the wrong direction for a while now. She came to L.A. not because it was the selfless thing to do for her partner, but because she doesn't want to be single, or guilty that she made him give it up. She hasn't said it, but the glimpses into her thoughts, and her actions, seem to be saying that when she wants or needs something, he's supposed to bow to her expectations like a good little servant.

As for Spike, his main problem is that he hasn't been telling her where his head is truly at. He hasn't shared his concerns to the depth that he's feeling them, and drinking to push them away instead of rocking the boat with Buffy - only it's now come to a point where they can't ignore it.

Honestly, these two have reached a point where they need a mediator. They need a neutral party to get them to give up the answers they should really be saying out loud, instead of dwelling on the anger.

Awwww...sad to find out there won't be an update for a while but I'll be waiting. I'm sad to learn they still haven't found a solution to their situation yet, but that's life. I am hoping she goes on tour with him thogh. I think it would be a good experience for them for the most part.

Oh no....I can't believe that manipulative bastard Quentin. I hope she ignores everything he says to her. I'm guessing he''s trying to make her break up with Spike. She should just go on tour with Spike, especially with what I think Quentin wants.
