Uh.. Robin again. Buffy fell asleep at work. I haven't been getting enough sleep lately, I guess. ~ hopefully because talking to Spike at night I hope, long talks. Okay one night then. seemed to be developing an ever-increasing intimacy and the fact remained that she still had feelings for Spike and She didn't need to worry about her heart getting involved in these nightly chats of theirs—it already was. Good I think for them getting back together even if Buffy doesn’t believe it now. ~
Eve…. so Spike talked to Buffy even if she was there? Yeah :-D Who's bed are you leaving mine for, huh? She, Eve, is angry and right. Spike confessed to himself that he is sharing more of his feelings with Buffy than with Eve :)
Buffy *sigh, big one*. Spike chose Eve again even if he thinks he is betraying Buffy this way. (Sorry, I wear my Spuffy glasses again.) Even if Spike had a good argument for staying it made me sad. And it was not only Buffy chicken out because of what people could say about their relationship. There was a bit more too. Things they have to work out…. Buffy had the right idea why he hadn’t called too and cried again well brought tears to her eyes.
Ah.. Sorry? No, I’m not sorry that Spike had performing problems with little Spike, that he couldn’t do ‘it’. Seems his subconsciousness has decided what he wants :-D I’m even more glad because Eve was such a bitch to him, hurt him, making him leave *YAY Scoobie dance*. I’m easy to please, huh? Not really, but this is a start. I know Eve is hurt and therefore hurt Spike still I’m not on her side here (sorry Eve but not really). I’m so happy because of the way the chapter ended. Eve did herself no favor to attack him like that, the real bitch (Diva?) she is, huh? That was Spike’s warning, now he has seen her for what she is. If he really looked. What Spike is doing with Buffy at the moment it is like the song lyrics War bestimmt nicht immer treu. Doch ich hab dich nie betrogen. = Was not certainly always faithful. But I have never deceived (betrayed) you. That is what Spike is doing, he has an emotional affair with Buffy, kind of. I don’t know how the definition is for one. Oh I don’t want Spike to betray Eve, I want them to break up so these two can back together again *gg*. I don’t want him to betray Buffy either. Spike should simply break up with Eve, but I know he doesn’t see it my way ;-), I know. At last he saw a glimpse of Eve’s bad side. I loved that Spike’s emotional connection with Buffy got stronger, even if they talked only about ‘normal’ things and not about their relationship. I wonder if they will continue to talk now, how Buffy will react next time Spike calls. Buffy is getting no sleep when he called and neither did she get sleep when he didn’t call. She felt betrayed even if she doesn’t have the right for it at the moment. They still are connected together even if both have problems to see (acknowledged) it.
And like I said before: If I have something to say I say it. If not I’m not. But when I sign it (even if I can’t log in any longer). Not using a name? Coward. *nods*

Man... How does she dare being that insensitive towards Spike?! Yeah, she's hurt and jealous, but the talking about sister fantasies was completely unnecessary. Please, Spike, dump her... *evil grin*

I understand both Buffy's and Spike's doubts and fears - it's been a long time after a completely unsatisfying end for both of them. I'm glad they keep talking to each other and share their past-time stories. Maybe they can rebuild a basic confidence.

I liked this chapter a lot. I guess we all know what it's like if we do something or let something happen which is, rationally looked at, not very clever or even dangerous...Love isn't about logic.

Only takes one egg to spoil a basket now doesn't it. Seems some people need to grow the fuck up.


Gahhhhhhhhhhhhhh awesome chapter hun. I have to give Eve credit for paying attention. She is right on t he money. Spike and buffy need to figure out quick where their hearts lie. It's not fair to Robin and Eve to get this hurt,over past antics together. You just keep writing this story and the rest of us will keep reading.


PS if you had a name you could file harassment chargers by now. That would be sweet justice. And you alreayd have a good lawyer to help you.

I've just caught back up on this story after giving it a long miss... (when Buffy blew off Spike I thought there wasn't a lot of places this could go), but I'm back... and I'm getting bad vibes about Spike now. Is he really an asshole who just wants to keep a woman on the line so he's got someplace to get his rocks off on? Is he really so dumb that he honestly cannot see that Buffy means more to him than Eve, and always has? What does he think those late night phone calls are all about? The ones that he, apparently, instigates and raises the temperature on? Does he really not have a clue that his calls are re-awakening locked away feeling in Buffy? Does he actually care about Buffy, above and beyond himself and Eve, at all?

Author's Response: Buffy and Spike met again on Saturday. This is now Wednesday. They weren't going to jump back into each other's arms and dump their respective honeys over night. I know it's frustrating to watch them be hesitant, but please, do bear in mind while you're reading this that it has only been a few days for the characters. Give them a little time to get with the program. ;)

i would love it if buffy were to be shot like angel was before but still survive of course and spike would stay by her side till she wakes up. it'll be totally sad but so spuffy....

Seems that very dangerous place where people crawl inside their own minds trying to figure out what's best for themselves and all other parties involved... That same little space that usually houses the argument between Truth and Denial... Love that they've both moved in. And it's all so true. It hurts to go there but it may just kill you if you don't. I love it. Love that Spike and Eve are beginning to drift, that Buffy can't sleep for fear she'll miss his call, it's just all good. And so true, though my torchure is fear I'll miss my alarm in the morning, so I don't sleep waiting for it to wake me, but same general problem, hers is just more fun to read about! Looking forward to the next update.

Ewwww, even though Spike didn't have sex with Eve I still feel I need to shower. Whatever the fanfic equivilent is to sticking your fingers in your ears and saying "I'm not listening" is what i wish I could do when it comes to Spike and intimacy with anyone but Buffy. I was wondering when we were going to get Spike's point of view again. Spike really should have been more considerate when calling Buffy in the middle of the night.

BUUBUY Eve (couldn't she be a little more patient with her man, I mean come on ... he is totally in love with another woman and she knows it ... she should be more understanding that he just cannot perform with her as a substitute for his true love)... evil ARR ARR Glad you put that nasty dig in from her about the sister... just in case anyone had an even remote bit of sympathy for her. I have to say I got nervous when Spike said he would stay, but I think it turned out that maybe Spike would see how others would think of his relationship with Buffy, and of course Eve would show some of her true colors. Spike needs to understand how Buffy thought it would be viewed, but we all know that true love always wins out, maybe not right away, but one needs the proper ammunition to fight each battle, and understanding is the first battle.
