love the longer chapter and where this fic is hopefully heading!

Thought so.. they stopped kissing, slowing down again. (The other way would have been too easy, wrong). (Though I'm glad to hear that Spike thinks that it seemed like the thing to do. And that he felt the need to see Buffy.) ~ And Buffy still knows Spike enough to notice that he is upset. Why did Spike said "to think this time was going to be any different."? Did it happen before? Ah I see.. because everybody only saw the celebrity, not the man. Except Buffy. And it is very good Buffy could confess, even to Spike, that she made a mistake (biggest on of her life yet, huh?). Well I hope that it is mistake that can be fixed. :-D
So they'll do the friends thing for now. But it's better then nothing, that is right. And now Spike is gone and Buffy is crying again. She does that a lot; I guess after the breakup and now too. *sigh*
OH! Spike is back because he felt the need to drink again? It's good he came by again; he wasn't gone for long. I wonder if Spike noticed that Buffy had been crying... She feared it would have been Eve. Yeah, I think that Eve will take what she can with the press, all publicity she can get. ~ Loved the way Buffy told Spike she broke up with Robin. And it cheered Spike up indeed. And maybe too that Buffy confessed that she never was with another man than him. Must be good for his manly pride. Lol, it did. And at last Spike could offer Buffy the knowledge that she is better with the sex than Eve ;-) Must be the love..
What I'm glad for? To see Spike being glad to be able to hold Buffy again. And that he had the feeling that they could get back to the way things have been before. Now we'll have to wait and see how things will be in the morning (Buffy will be feeling the next day). Buffy lost a lot of sleep because of Spike; no wonder she is so tired. And I'm glad Spike stayed... but now he fell asleep too. ~
I have a question:
So even if Buffy left Spike she is living in their apartment now (with Dawn when she is there). And Spike lives in the same city, but another place as Eve lives somewhere there?
Therefore Eve was so quick back at home after her visit of Buffy.
Am I right or did I miss something? I just wanted to know to clear things for me. I probably over-read something here. Looking forward to the next update :)

Author's Response: Thanks for the review. :) They all live in Los Angeles. I'm just ignoring how bad the traffic is for the sake of moving the plot along. lol

I think this was a great place to end the chapter rather than breaking it up. Another powerful, emotionally charged posting. I feel so bad for Spike. He needs to let go of the past as much as Buffy, but I think its him though that is preventing them from getting back together. For once, I was actually glad they hadn't slept together, lol - did I actually say that? I imagine when they do, it will be better than anytime before they may have shared. This chapter reminds me of a song I just plugged into listening on my Ipod - Restless Heart by Chicago (Peter Santerra). Re-reading this chapy listening to it, I wanted to cry for them both. Beautiful job sweety. I can't wait to see what happens next - and kinda hope Spike doesn't hear Dawn come in. I'm sure Dawn won't disturb them - teehee.

Two Fridays! Well that's just plain shocking. I accidentally killed off Joyce in my fic and it was only because of a sharp-eyed reader that I even knew it! so much for the vicissitudes of writing serial fiction.

Very nice update. I like that these two are both really trying to be adult and responsible and not overly optomistic given the disastrous break-up in their past. But I still hope they eventually work it out.

And the admissions of still being in love with each other, suddenly it's not all in the past. And to find immediate and restful sleep in each other's arms, well, that just seems right, too. And they are being awfully adult about the whole situation. I find that an added bonus. I'd really have to reach through the computer and smack them if the messed up this whole heartfelt reunion. I love it and cannot wait for more. Amazingly long and wonderful chatper.

Such a good chapter. I loved their talks and that Spike ended up back at her place. Love the fact that Buffy's been celibate since she broke up with him. I'm very interested to see the reaction when the morning comes.
