I just started this fic last night, and I love it. Am planning on leaving a larger review at the end, but wanted to pop in now and thank you (!) for writing a scene where Buffy realizes that she needs to reach out to others, even if it comes at some emotional risk. That never happened in the series -- which is why I'm never fully on the Spuffy train.

Sweet, a date. I do wonder how normal they can do seeing as Spike is a huge celebrity and will probably not be given a moments peace in public. I hope Buffy is ready. I agree with the reviewer(s) who say Spike also has to own up to his mistakes in the relationship too if they want to be able to move forward. I worry about Eve and what she has planned for Spike and Buffy. She doesn't strike me as a woman to give up easily and will probably be quite vindictive.

I absolutely love the latest development. I like that they're not just jumping back into a relationship, but instead taking their time. And I agree, with Dawn, don't think Buffy's gonna be sleeping alone after their date.

Ok let me start this out by saying that I have tons of stuff that I'm supposed to be doing right now. I mean tons. And then yesterday I found this story. I just couldn't stop reading it. Which is probably pretty obvious considering I just read 57 chapters in less than 24 hours. But I think that it is amazing, and I decided that if I just (very willing) lost a day of time reading this lovely fic, that I should tell you. It really was excellent. I can't wait for an update. ; )

Thanks for clearing that up for me, Addie. And don't worry, never been to LA and it is a some time now I visited another City there. ~ And I don't mind three updates a week; I hope to catch them in time :)
Oh yeah, Spike's DeSoto; this car is unmistakable especially for Dawn, sure she would recognize it. And Dawn is still playing matchmaker.. closing the door so they aren't disturbed. She too has high hopes, huh? ~ So Buffy felt a sense of peace; her subconsciousness seems to remember she is with Spike. But Buffy's tone was a bit harsh because she was so surprised. And now Spike feels rejected. Oh it is so good to see even if Spike still feels hurt because of what Buffy did he is happy (hearing her voice etc.). And Buffy faced the truth now and told it: She wants Spike back (YAY!). Duh.. and now Spike is running again. And he felt so good before *sigh* What will Buffy do now? She first wanted only to cry now she wants to do something what she should have done before. So what? Awe, running after Spike! She is gonna get him :-D Good not to give up. Spike doesn't want to get hurt so he doesn't want it at all. Thanks to Buffy's big green eyes *g* he is getting soft. Babysteps is it, means a date. And Buffy didn't give him time to change his mind and set a date for this evening. Now both are happy, huh? ~ Loved the sister time. And now Dawn knows a bit of what has happened. And sorry.. but I'm happy that Quentin got fired *gg*. Then lets hope Dawn is right lol. We'll see :) And now some shopping to be ready for the date. ~

You never cease to amase me with the shear volume of fanfiction that you faithfully and consistently churn out. Your imagination is endless and so is your talent for weaving an enjoyable read. Honestly, from the volume of stories you write, do you take the time to .....say....eat? ....or maybe possibly sleep? I can almost see you......locked in a dark room chained to a computer desk,bleary-eyed, tired and thirsty,hunched over a laptop and pounding away feverously while a crazed and demented spuffy fan leans over you screaming"More!! More!! you must write more!!" .........don't mind me ....I just got off my 17th night shift and I'm a little punchy....anyways, love your stories, whatever you write, it's good for me! cudos to you!!! ::))

Loved this chapter and could relate it to my courtship with my husband. We'd both been deeply hurt by our first marriages and were skittish about trusting our hearts again, but with time, patience, humor and kindness we were able to get past all the scary stuff. It took us four years but as I tell my daughters, I chased him (nonthreatenly) until he caught me. I suspect Buffy may have to take the same tact. But there is more than a little satisfaction in the role reversal. Even 25 years later it has it's charm. Go Buffy.

Yeah-- from two times a week to three!!! Not only did Buffy demonstrate her "stones" by telling Spike what she really wants, and earning a date in the process, but you are going to increase the number of times per week you post this lovely story! Thanks for hanging in there-- I adore this part of the story.

Well, that's just about the best news in a long time. I really should be praising the story here, which is fabulous and caused me to make squealing sounds (probably not dissimilar from noises Dawn made) that scared my cat out of the room... But this amended update schedule is also awesome. I was afraid with you updating both this story and "Poet..." on Tuesdays and Thursdays would just be way too much goodness on two days of the week. This is delightfully managable. And now for the story...

Squee!! They're on a date and as good as back together! Okay, I imagine there is still a bit more drama and a few more issues to work out, but Buffy chasing after that boy was a marvelous thing. Go her for taking the initiative. She also had some very good speeches this time round ("I don't want to dance around the issue anymore. I want you."). I'm very happy for them and the whole dating idea is a very good one. The universe has finally righted its axis. Loved it. And now, something to look forward to on Mondays!

Oh, thank God Buffy is finally starting to get her head on straight. I think it was important for her to take the big leap this time. In the end, she left because she wasn't willing to fight for Spike. I think her efforts here will probably go a long way in showing Spike she believes he's worth it.

Also, I'm excited about the change in posting schedule. I love this story, and the more we get, the better!
