I find the pacing of this story to be somewhat erratic - it feels that it is being dictated by factors outside of the story. The uneven pacing detracts from what would otherwise be an enjoyable piece of writing. A big part of it might be the uneven lengths of chapters and the open endings in some chapters. I had a story in mind - Lost in Time by spikeskat that works well in terms of pacing. The cliffhanger endings work to enhance the story telling and not detract from it because all the chapters either end that way or logically conclude at that point. Just my two cents.

Author's Response: If you don't like it, don't read it. It's my story and my style. I'm writing it a certain way, and, in case you didn't notice, I'm not Spikeskat. There's more than one way to pace a story.

I can tell you, it's not being dictated by "factors outside of the story." But you if have such a problem with my writing, perhaps you can point me to an example of yours so I can learn from what must be your greatness.

Oh no! Sorry, but Robin really sucks. Sure, this whole media thing isn't good for the school but he can't tell her to quit her relationship with Spike.
He's so jealous because Buffy didn't choose him and now he shows her. The trouble now is pretty good for him.
Please don't let Buffy breakt up with Spike again. That won't be good for his and also for my heart!!! *puppyeyes*

I actually think this is a great plot device - it's an opportunity for Buffy to prove that her decision 3 years ago was a mistake. By being put in virtually the same set of circumstances (though to save her own career, not Spike's), she's got the opportunity for an honest-to-God do over. She can finally put her money where her mouth is, and for the first time, truly put her and Spike's relationship above everything else. Since you're pretty good with the happy endings, I figure that's eventually what she'll do.

great chapter some hard hitting issues. A job that she has put everything into hangs in the balance. But having spike is so much better. I know that she will see that but I hope it is seen without spike feeling her doubt.

I kind of knew this was going to happen. I am pretty confident that Buffy will tell Robin exactly what to do with his ultimatum but at the moment I feel so sorry for her. I bet she could have a pretty decent lawsuit against the school if she so wanted. Friday won't get here soon enough.
