Wow, tons of little details and twists thrown in- I loved it! Spike's line about her love scaring him was perfect- kudos to you for that one! I'm happy that Buffy and Spike are in a good place, and I sincerely hope more curveballs won't come in the way of them, but I'll understand if some do. Awesome update!:)

Oh, thank goodness for this chapter and Buffy's talk with Jenny. Now, at last, I feel as though Buffy's taking off those rose couloured spectacles. I just get the feeling that Xanders love is going to be a very dangerous thing to manage... loves scorn and all that. Great writing. Love the way you maintain a heightened tension in dialogue heavy chapters.

Loved the update! I definitely agree with Jenny. Buffy seems so naive and needs to grow a backbone. I have a feeling that she better grow some stones if she's to survive what's to come. Especially when the complete truth about Xander and Spike is revealed. And the secret! I'm dying to know what it is! What could be so horrible that Spike has to keep it so hidden? Does it concern Druscilla? Does it concern his relationship with Xander? Gahhh!! The suspense is killing me! Just goes to show how great of a writer you are. Hope to see an update soon!

I was so happy to see this update. I missed this story. Loved the chapter but Buffy better careful about Spike's so called friends and all their advice. I don't trust any of them. Thanks for the update and feel free to update this one as quickly as you did Ain't No Sunshine..lol

WOW! What a pantomime, could you imagine really living your life in that kind of gold-fish bowl (Shudder), poor William and Buffy having to play-act (but not play-act), for the press (double shudder), and stinky Xander putting them in that position in the first place. I hate those glossy gossip mags, always putting peoples lives on show, and half the time getting it all wrong. I remember only too well the gutter press and glossy mags hounding Princess Di, making her life out to be a free-for-all for anyone to read and give an opinion on. The whole thing was very distasteful, and reading what your characters had to go through just to soothe the savage press beast, brought the whole thing to mind. Made for good reading though. Oh and I loved the little sexy bit at the end of the chapter, which seemed to be Buffy and William REALLY celebrating. YAY!

Ohhh!! I love this story so much. Perfect chapter, except too short for my greedy self. I loved the first scene, in the living room - and that Spike sees thru Xander. Buffy has her hands full with that crowd, trying to keep things straight and honest between her and Spike. I loved your spiderweb analogy and your reference to 'blocking the light'. I just really liked that touch. Thank you so much for this story. And if you could see anyway to update more frequently (and I know you have more stories going too) i would be so thrilled. It's soooo hard to wait!

I'm glad Buffy's so gung-ho about keeping him- Xander just needs to leave them alone and move on with his life, that weasel. Plus, bringing up the Nick/Jessica thing was a very good point- I'm so sick of seeing them on magazine covers, either divorcing, happily in love, or having a kid LOL I just hope everyone will start allowing Spike to lead his own life...

Talk about intense...Spike is definitely a Jekel and Hyde in this story. I love it. I don't trust Xander or Cordy period. Great chapter. I wonder who Dru was screwing around with besides Xander. The term "daddy" was used. I was so happy to see the update. Looking forward to the next chapter.

WOW! That was sooo good, I loved the little shopping trip and Dru's journal...phew! What a bitch...I'm glad she dead. Spike's insecurities are also beginning to show, which makes great tension and give depth to the plot...OH YEAH! I'm loving this story...more soon please.
