Stupid Riley. I just...grr...want to punch him. Picking on poor Spike who is working to keep the "girl" he cares so much for alive! Gah! Excellent chapter...it made me go into rant mode!

Everyone knows that they are going to end up together because thats what happenes at the end of all great Spuffy stories (and this is a great one) but I have to say that I love having to wate and see what is going to happen. It just seems to make the fact that they do get together at the end all that more wonderful. Hold on, they are going to get together right? RIGHT?!!

I have just read your story and it is very good. However, it is torture waiting for the Spuffiness. I personally wish that Riley would disappear. It would not affect the story line and it would get rid of a very annoying character. Update soon.

I'm getting really sick and tired of Riley but I'm a firm believer in being patient for the good things that are to come with Buffy and Spike. Keep up the good work and promise taht Riley pays big time when Buffy finally does kick him to the curb.

Have to agree bout Buffy not dumping Riley and right away run into Spike's arms.... but yup..... ' Sweet girl, not that Bright!' But i seriously feel like going there and personally give Riley one huge smack in the face. cant wait for more!

Aww , poor Buffy and Spike and very bad evil Riley. I was almost as surprised with Spike's near declaration as he seemed and Buffy's disappointment broke my heart. I can't wait to read more of this fic.

I want Riley dead. Actually, I want him exposed for the bullying, chauvinistic pig he is, then I want him dead. Preferably by Harmony. It seems poetic somehow. I also want Buffy to get a friggin' clue. Couldn't she see that Spike was hurting? Isn't this where their 'connection' should kick in and tell her something is definitely rotten in the town of Sunnyhell? Anyways, the story as a whole is great, and I can't wait to read the next chapter. Please update soon!

Ahhhh! :-( Damn that Riley! And why is Spike taking his crap? I know this is part of the story and I love it all, but GAH!! So much with the Riley hating right now...

Wow. I can't believe the lengths that Riley would go to, knowingly putting Buffy in greater danger. He must be supremely insecure. I wish that Spike would have at least told Giles that he couldn't patrol with Buffy anymore, so that they would know they had to help her. I just know that Spike is going to go back on his word. He cares too much about Buffy to risk her life for the safety of his own. Great chapter and great angst! I'm wondering though, wouldn't Buffy have seen some bruises on Spike from Riley punching him? I realize Riley's a human, but he did make Spike's nose bleed. I could be wrong though. Maybe Riley didn't hit him that hard or the crypt was too dark. I just wish there was something that would alert Buffy to Riley's strongarm influence in putting her life at risk. I can't wait to see what happens next Ashlee!
