That was an evil place to leave it. Normally I don't ask for updates, but I will here.

Awww, poor Spike :*( Poor guy. And stupid Riley - trust me, totally understand why you can't just write him off, and I'd much rather have a believable, incannon story with him in it for a while than not, but after doing that to Spike - ooooh, he needs to pay!

I'm all with the Riley hating, god knows! But I don't understand why Spike is going along with the intimidation. I thought he would have gone on seeing Buffy regardless.
Author's Response: Don't worry, that will be addressed in the next chapter. Thanks for reviewing!

Another I hate Riley vote! Can you have Buffy find out what he did to Spike quickly so I can enjoy more Spuffiness without that jerk screwing it up. Love the story, know we need that creepy little soldierboy (still hate him) and can't wait for him to get smacked, kicked, punched and dumped BIG TIME by Buffy... and let Spike watch for FUN... with Giles cheering from the sidelines as well! Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to more, more, more.

Loving it so far and I don't hold the Rileyness against you. It's a necessary evil and makes sense in your story. Just makes us appreciate the Spuffiness that much more.

Did I say I hate Riley? Just in case I forgot to mention it, well... I hate Riley. Always had, always will. I hope he dies a painful death after days of horrible torture. But about what you said at the beginning of the chapter, he does need to be in the story. It is season 5ish and unfortunately, he was there. Plus, it makes the story more interesting. If it were all hugs and puppies, there wouldn't be a story. So as long as you don't write a big Riley/Buffy love scene, I'm cool with it.
