I love that Spike is a little ruthless. Please don't let Buffy wimp out. That totally wrecks a fic for me when Buffy goes so out of character that she has NO backbone. Good fic so far. I can't wait to see where it's going. One good thing about wartime - Riley can just happen to get dead and slip out of the picture. But Buffy and Spike are still on different sides, however will that work?

And, I know a lot of readers can't stand a weak, wimpy Buffy.
I assure you, Buffy is a very head strong and formidable woman in this story. However, she is very, very young still.
As for Riley? Well, let's just say he's not to be seen or heard from for a while.

I love period pieces, though I understand what you mean abou tthem not always being a big hit. I've had ideas and written some in my day...some take, some don't. I think it's all in how you write it and I think you're doing a great job. I love their first meeting and how Buffy spoke her mind to SPike lol. That was great. Can't wait for more! :)
