drugs! lol livens up the mix doesn't it? Good idea! Even though it's very typical for a rock star, I haven't many fics with Spike on drugs, so I'm very interested to see how this goes. Great way to bring in the angst! :)

I knew you were going to give us a twist and work some angst into the situation, but I had been hoping it wouldn't be drugs. The moment I read that Spike looked at Buffy with unfocused eyes, my heart broke. While I love all of your fictions, this subject just hits a little too close to home. I will try to keep reading this story, but if you see that my reviews have stopped, don't be surprised. It won't be that the story isn't any good, as it is incredible as always, it will just be that I can't deal with the subject matter. With that said, I'm glad that Buffy left and told him that she won't get closer to him just to watch him kill himself. I really hope that she is able to back up her words with actions.

Kind of a bitchy ultimatum especially considering exactly what he is (rock star), but you did write this well. Drug fics are almost like baby fics to me. If they're good, they're really good. But most of them tend to sway way too far in one direction or the other, becoming unlrealistic. I really love your work and I have faith that you will continue to write this to be believable. Can't wait for the next chapter.

Uhoh - buffy really needs to whip his butt into shape, cuz dating a druggie is never good - the drugs always end up being more important. Hopefully he does the smart thing and quits (And stops bein a jerk, LOL) But great story, and I can't wait to read more! :)

Your Buffy is fantastic! I love her sense of self and common sense in that she is not going to let herself be fooled by Spike, his pretty word or her hormons and emotions. I love that she is strong enough to respect herself and demand only the best from Spike. This was a great twist after the sweetness of the last couple of scene...adds great depth to the piece.
