So Spike's trying to bring back her fire. It makes sense because he want have her any other way. I have know doubt that he can do it but it is a little tough to read when he's being mean to her. Thanks for the update. This chapter was excellent.

This was a interesting chapter to read. I now understand where you are going with this story. It was very well written and as a reader I like when I can visualize and feel what the characters are feeling. Nicely done. I will be happy when Spike and Buffy are finally on the same wavelength.

I know that you said that Buffy and Spike would experience a lot of turmoil in this story but this is awful.. Why is Spike being so cruel. This is not the Spike I am used to. Are we going to find out what happened to Spike during all those years he was alone? It is really hard to read this story, but I will continue reading because I remain hopeful that it will turn out allright.

Okay, this chapter truly disturbed me. I didn't see this coming at all. I got all emotional thinking OMG. The Spike from 1997 has returned. I was so hoping for all this wonderful loving stuff to happen and tones of Spuffiness. You got me. I'm hoping Spike is trying to teach her a lesson or something. He is William/Spike and I shouldn't expect his sadistic side to disappear. Again, I am disturbed by this change yet intrigued as to where this is going and I like it. PLEASE update soon

What can I say? Another beautifully written chapter. This is a "take no prisoners, no holds barred" Spike. And this is a raw, powerful, all-consuming love, as well. While I like fluffy Spike, I find myself drawn to this darker, more methodical version of our favorite vamp. I know everything will be fine in the end - I have faith! As always, exceptional job!

I don't want her to become completely subservient to him...that just wouldn't be cool. If he loves her (like I think he really does), he'd try to make everything better for her, not treat her as some low creature. And yes, I know she did that to him, but they finally have a chance to be together at peace. I'm fine with her not having contact with anyone back home, but this Spike is scaring me. Loved the update:)

Author's Response: Hi there, shippy. Yes, this one is going to be angsty and hard sometimes. I think it will be worth it though because its about them working out issues that have always been pushed aside instead of dealt with. It's also about that line, "you always hurt the one you love" because sometimes it is about Tough Love instead of all hearts and roses. Hopefully, I haven't talked you out but instead into seeing it through.

Beautifully written chapter. Spike's thoughts and actions were written as though he is aware of how his actions also impacted Buffy. The description of how Buffy came to be at this place was also well done. I can't say enough. I am glad that I kept reading the story because although I can tell they will experience many trials in their relationship I now have hope for their relationship instead of a feeling of doom. I hope I am right. Update when you can.

Wow, I just caught up with this story. My last review was in January. The word I want to use to describe this story is powerful. All the emotions that they are both feeling reminds of of a song by Kate Bush "This Woman's Worth" Some of the lyrics seem perfect for the inner turmoil between Spike and Buffy. I love this story and I like how they are finding their way back to each other like it should have been in the Buffyverse. Although Season 7 was a start, God what I would have done for one more season solely about them being a couple, fighting the evil and Buffy not caring what anybody thought. Now about the sex, what can I say. You definitely know how I like my sex scenes, hot, wet and messy with some roughness accompanied by some sensuality with lust, need, want sprinkled on top. I am so looking forward to more chapters. I know this is a long review but this story I feel is that good. Keep up the excellent work
