I read this chapter the first time you posted it; really like the changes. You do a great job getting into Spike's head; and paint a very vivid picture of Katie. And I get a good idea of just what kind of hotel she's planning to open in plattsville!

I like the way you're building this slow and steady... scene setting done, some key characters introduced, and now the 'newlyweds' start to get to know each other too. I have a feeling I'm going to like Seth, but keep a wary eye on Katie... haven't spotted potential male posturing yet. Hope whoever it is is someone 'new' rather than a relocated version of Angel/Xander/Giles. I quite like it when an author introduces new character to play with our dynamic duo.
