Cute so far, but the whole thing sounds very British, and so does Buffy. Public schools in the US don't do Easter things (separation of church and state) and bonnets are not really done here (not for scores of years), but the idea is very charming!

Author's Response: Hi yes, I've been told off about this story before! Again, written many years ago when I was just starting and someone wanted an Easter story quickly. I had no idea about the separation of church and state in US in those days - I hadn't watched The West Wing yet! When I was growing up, Easter was celebrated in most schools over here - now it is very commercialised and mostly about chocolate, eggs and little rabbits because you mustn't offend people of other religions. My early Buffy does sound English. I think she's better in the later stories and in Future Imperfect, I always say its because they've been married a long time, she has picked up Spike's way of speaking!
