Wow, an update on this! I completely lost my muse for writing on this story months ago, but I've finally decided to pick it up again. This chapter is very short, and doesn't resolve the cliffhanger I left you with before :P But it gives you some backstory that will be important later on. I've also gone back and edited a few things in the previous chapters - just some of the style choices I made. It hopefully reads better, now. Hope you like this chapter, anyway! :)
