Wow, I’m impressed with Spike’s self control. Whether or not it has to do with the fact he knows she’s been through an ordeal, he could have just as easily licked at his claim mark and got her to do things his way. They really have come quite a ways and it’s good to see Buffy voicing she has no intention to be separated from her husband.

Ooooooh yes, secrets have a way of coming back to bite one in the arse. True, his was of a more sinister nature, but he made good on his explanation. It might take her some time to ‘see’ the proof of his pudding/explanation, but I’m confident that will happen. It’s one of those ‘it takes time’ things. Glad she verbally accepted it, you can really feel her desire to love her husband wholly. He’s been very good to her for some time now and I don’t think she would want to give that up. She wants his love to be real even though we readers all know it is.

I was all with the ‘awwwww’ reading Spike’s words to Katia. I can imagine he wouldn’t want to pawn her off as they did back in those days. Giggles – it would take a brave lad indeed to come courting to a castle for the hand of a lady guarded by hundreds of blood thirsty demons. I can hear a teenage Katia talking to her father now – “Daa-aad,” she whined. “Did you have to go and sick Uncle Lucian on Lord Pissant (piss-ant)? If you don’t stop turning potential suitors into lunch for your army I’ll never get married.” Stomps foot. LMAO.

I don’t have too much to say on Buffy’s admission of her secret to Spike. It’s totally understandable and thank God he thought so as well. Boy did she ever control the conversation though, bravo, good on her for making her husband keep silent then demanding her own explanations from him. I was a bit surprised that Spike didn’t take responsibility, I mean verbalize it to Buffy, over the boy turned vampire by Dru. Poor Buffy took responsibility for it, but even before the spell, Spike knew she wouldn’t want that and he’s the one that ordered it. I guess I just don’t see it as her fault, in any sense. It was simply Spike being evil and punishing her. Through his wickedness, he brought what happened upon his own family. Oh well.

Oh boy – is Willow going to be in a predicament when Buffy finds out she knew of the spell. Let’s hope when she finds out, it’s well timed and that she’s understanding. That’s a super sticky mess right there – can’t wait to find out what becomes of it. Buffy has harbored some ill feelings toward her friend since day one of her arrival where it concerns her husband and her relationship to him. A bit of jealousy there, and that’s not easy to get over, especially with new information over the spell. But, on the other hand, Willow can reaffirm that Spike really does love her and that’s why she chose to keep his secret. Only Lucian is pretty blatant about what he wants from Willow. Yup, no secret there, giggles.

I get where Buffy is coming from where her concern for what little William will become or may not be capable of, but Spike is right, she’s borrowing trouble by even thinking of something that may never come to pass. I suppose it goes back to nature vs nurture, but I still side with the nurture argument. Demon or not, the thing that separates us from animals is our ability to think and William will certainly be able to think. If we ‘think’, we’re able to make decisions, if we’re ‘taught’ then we learn and act accordingly. William isn’t some wild thing they found in the woods rasied by baboons and can never be tamed. If feelings are merely dormant in a vampire, then that goes for little William as well. So I stand by opinion that he can grow up and be nurtured to get in touch with those feelings... do I feel a Montel show coming up in his future? LMAO. Not to mention there is ‘an order’ in the vampire world, and not only would Spike be his master, but his father as well – not something the child can ignore. I have faith he’ll turn out fine, blood sucker or not, giggles.

As for Katia? I’m not convinced she’s purely human. She may be, and maybe William is purely vampire. It’s too early to tell. William could have a soul and perhaps Katia will develop a taste for blood later on – the possibilities abound as they grow. It’s too bad Spike feels like Buffy doesn’t fully accept William or him because she never said that, she said she loved him but simply has fears. But of course Spike expects her to completely accept her son with no worries whatsoever, and that simply isn’t realistic – the worry part. Even mother’s of convicts hold their doubts but still love. It’s a fine line I suppose and pretty blurred at the moment for the blond couple.

Oh boy, you know I can’t wait to find out what’s going to happen in the village, not just for the obvious reaction of her clan and what her Godmother will have to say on the issue of her powers or her babes, but for that hint of a miffed Danior who I have a feeling is going to be stupid and ask Spike about his wife and when he plans on returning her. In my head, I see him telling Danior that ‘if’ Willow ever returns, it will only be because she wants to. Won’t that be a slap in the face, giggles. And you can’t cheat us out of a glimpse of what’s going on at the castle with our second favorite couple while Spike and Buffy are with her clan. Whoa Nelly, I imagine things are a bit domestic for them acting as equal guardians over little William and babies somehow bring out the best in people, bring them closer. Wonder what Lucian thinks of the little tyke – will he go all coochie coochie coo again? LMAO. Can’t wait to see what you have up your sleeve next sweety. Bravo on another brilliant chapter my friend.

Well, I suppose Buffy got what she deserved. I like feeling sorry for Spike once in awhile ya know? My god though Faith, eww it's making me cringe to think of Buffy getting drunk and possibly doing something WITH Faith to further screw herself up . Oh I so hope Buffy gets some help or breaks down and calls Spike or something. I wanna see her grovel at Spike's feet. And just what has he been up to lately I wonder? Update soon sweety, I'm lovin it.

Arrrg, ewwww. Will somebody please do something? I totally expected Spike not to have sex with her. I expected Buffy to at least ask about him. Enough is enough, one of those two have to make a move. I can't believe this much time has passed too. Don't get me wrong here, I LOVE this story, but I desperately want them to at least talk to eachother. Good work sweety.

You do what you need too hon, sounds as if you're quite busy. I'm glad Buffy finally sees what she did. Now I only hope she DOES something about it. Oh thank god. I mean everything is still screwed up and whoa - Buffy trying to kill herself? But at least we all know what happened. She was just too young and impressionable, and I think Angel is a right bastard now. I felt bad for her and him thinking they had some 'great love', but if a man can say THAT to someone he's supposed to love? Hell no. Her mind was too young and twisted the perception of things w/out any guidence. I only hope Spike rids himself of Harmony soon and finds out about Buffy.
Answer to your question, I think that's a wonderful idea for a fic preview group. If you have several ideas and want a broader scale of people to see what appeals to readers, then that's the way you should go. Let me know how/when you'll make that happen and where if not here, I'd love to review.

Hell, I'm glad he was mean to Harmony, it means she won't be whining and that she knows it's over. Thank you, I really couldn't stand his being with her in this fic. You pulled it off beautifully. Gut instinct on his part to go to Buffy. Nice line, "...but I have to go see my girl". Glad that his feelings never left. Why is it that sometimes people don't do the right thing until something bad happens, then they scramble before it's TOO late. No matter, just thinking out loud. I did read this a few days ago, but didn't leave a review as I had to pack and drive home from my vacation. I liked this chapter as it shows good growth on Buffy's behalf. Let's just hope she let's Spike back in sooner rather than later. Great job.

Beautiful job,at writing, and yes, they're in the same room together, but for crying out loud, enough is enough. I NEED these two to start making up. No more arguments, no more walking out, it's TOO much to handle at this point in the story. Wow, huge step for them. I can understand Spike's concern, and I hope it does work out, I know he doesn't want to dissapoint her. I'll admit, I thought this chapter might end badly after getting half way thru, but was sooooooooo relieved when it didn't. I understand skipping ahead in time for this. I really do.
