First let me say that I’m glad your back. I’ve been in love with this story ever since I first found it. Now where to begin... Last chapter - love how Spike has restrained himself from having sex with Buffy, even when he knows there’s a slim chance it will prove anything to her. Moving forward... I like the idea that he’s been so willing to see to her ‘needs’ with no thought to himself other than cold showers. And though I understand 100% ‘why’ – man Buffy can be a bitch, it’s like will nothing please her? I’m not worried though, I think Giles (which by the way, a most welcome addition to the story) has finally given Buffy a reason to begin to thaw a little... as evidence on the beach, and I don’t mean the having sex, I mean her admission she doesn’t want to want him. It was a huge help too, that he told her he loves her. Perhaps now they can take a tiny, tentative step forward and she can learn to find a way to look at the man inside. The poor guy needs a break. If it doesn’t start to happen now, it may take something awful like Angelus getting his hands on her for her to wake up and smell the coffee. I am worried about exactly what Angelus has planned. At first I thought Dru killed Amy, but now, judging from the dialogue, I don’t think it is. I’m curious about the call Spike got while at the magic shop – I can only guess it has something to do with Amy, but not so important that he had to return. I hope that Cordelia and her ‘bo’ will have something to do with some type of inside info for Spike on Angelus’ plans. I still have hope for that couple, and their possible friendship/liaison with Buffy and Spike down the road.
Summary: Season 5, Spike is attacked by a demon and looses his memory. Buffy decides to take care of him with some persistent nudging from her mom and Dawn, feeling a bit charitable because of the holidays.

Oh wow. I like this premise a lot. Spike with amnesia thinking he’s William. It’ll be comical when he finds out ‘what’ he is and just how he ‘acts’ these days. Not to mention I can hardly wait to see if Buffy falls for ‘William’. I mean, who wouldn’t? A Victorian gentleman complete with the shy thing? YUM! Xander was funny: “Failing to see the problem here.” And Buffy with the poop in their stockings, frickin hilarious. Wow, that was somewhat heart breaking to read William’s reaction to Buffy telling him about Spike. I think him holding her hand was rather touching and sweet, too. Seems William’s power of perception as to what feelings he has for Buffy is at least clear, giggles. Ok, so I’m totally swooning over his compliment to her beauty and such a shocking tender kiss for her to recieve. Yup, seems I’m right... Buffy is going to have a hell of a time NOT falling for him. You’re writing is lovely darling. Very easy to read and the flow is smooth as silk.

YUM, Spike curls, curls of Spike, GAH! OMG, he’s flirting with her, how adorable and how irresistible, even if Buffy doubts him. And the ‘almost slip up’ with the word love, niiiiiiice. Wow, seems despite his memory loss, he’s set on courting her. I wonder though how wise he thinks that is considering when he gets his memories back and all. Buffy knows it and it’s heartbreaking for her to be torn between accepting William’s fawning over her and fighting her attraction. This line right here would have broke me for sure... “All I want is a few stolen moments of your time” And then he cop’d a feel? That is just too much, I was really laughing over that one. Maybe that arm was just possessed. I should slay it, she thought with a mental giggle. Rofl! Ok-wow, I so didn’t see it coming when William picked up on that ‘strange new smell’. How on earth is the gentleman in him going to react the that?!?! My first thought about William is that he’s being awfully bold and sort of out of character for a Victorian guy, but it’s your story and I can tell that’s the way you wanted it – and of course I don’t mind. The intimate scene was great, but oh booooooy, when Spike came back I thought, hmmmm, was Spike just playing her the whole time? Which would explain William’s forwardness. And what about Tara’s reading of his aura? Okay... rushes off to read the next chapter and pray Spike doesn’t get dusted, giggles. A lovely chapter sweety. Smooches to you my friend.

Ah, Slayer blood is what did the trick, I see. You had me fooled there for a bit. Poor Buffy, I really feel for her but you did a wonderful job at creating equally sympathy for Spike’s case as well. Way to go Spike for cornering her in the kitchen and, ahem, proving his point she can’t deny she likes him. That was hot when he was begging her to say she still wanted him, I could feel the waves of insecurity rolling off him. Of course all with the grrr, want, take, have Spike carrying her downstairs, oh yeah, it’s getting a bit hot in here. Awwww, Spike/William is trying so hard for Buffy with his present and good on Joyce for helping. A claim? Wow, didn’t see that cumming, er, did I just type that? LOL. This line was awesome: “Lady’s choice,” he purred. “How do you want it an’ where?” NICE!!! The sex and claim was hot but you went and broke MY heart this time, you evil author you. The title is too funny - love me some blue collar comedy, *winks*. Wheww, thank God Spike was missing her instead of planning to block the claim forever. Funny imagery with the mannequin, giggles. The part where he temporarily contemplated shaggin her upside down was hilarious – very Spik-like. And have I told you how much I like growly aggressive, possessive Spike, whether vmap or AU... oh yeah, loads of hotness of my fav variety. William is great, but the grrr Spike is hotness at it’s best. Damn, the whole chaining and ‘almost’ blow job was nicely done. Damn, that great sex, even if they did cum quickly and yet another heart breaking moment from Spike. I so wanted to slap the shit outa him until you made it clear what he was feeling. This part got me: She really didn’t like this whiny, broody version of Spike. Too close to Angel, she did a mental gag. She hoped her attempts to taunt him back to his old self would work again, like earlier. “You’re a right bitch, you know that, Slayer?” he shot back. She gave a lazy shrug then smirked. “You’re an ass.” Seriously laughed my frickin ass off. The ending was equally as funny, I absolutely adored this fic sweety. And again with me needing to consult you once I’m ready to write vamp Spike.
