First off, let me just say that I am so sorry you were flamed. It makes me so angry for someone to work so very hard on a story only to have people needlessly flame it.
That being said, I love this story.
In this chapter, I must say Spike surprised me. I figured he'd be all over Owen given the chance. I hope Dawn's okay.

Author's Response: Well, it makes me angry too, but it seems that there are just people like that in the world. Have you ever been so angry that you can't form the words? Or that you genuinely fear for the person who made you angry or in fact, the next person to meet you? That's what I was trying to get at. Also, in this story, Spike in considerably more grown-up than he ever was in the series and despite the anger he feels at Owen, beating him up isn't going to help Buffy or Dawn. And in the long run, that's really all he wants. Thanks for the review!!!
