Beautiful story! I just finished reading it and I have to say, I loved it all! The details were perfect and I could just picture Spuffy jumping from that cliff into the water! Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful story with us!

Seriously, I love this story so much! Spike is so much fun in this. Buffy, too. Their thought processes borders on comical at times while the subject of their speaking words is quite different, and you manage to segway both with enough subtext and tension to really draw the readers in. I love that!

I so can't wait for their trip! I have a feeling it's going to be great!

I seriously love the image of Spike on the couch holding Sebastian. Talk about adorable! And then playing with the laser pointer, haha, I've done that with my cat and it's always good for laughs.

I loved the massage, him lowering his sweatpants a bit, her taking in the view before doing as he suggested and sitting across his legs. The tension in Buffy was quite high there and then her trying to rush out when he called her on her feelings before slapping him. And then after the slapfest we have BUFFY losing control and kissing Spike, not just kissing him but following his lead and doing some leading of her own before reality came back to her.

I seriously love this story. You have no idea how much I crave a new update of it and now, with the promise of angst in the next chappie, I'll be craving it even more.

Author's Response: Oh, a man cuddling a kitten.... totally adorable in my book, giggles. I love playing with my cats with a laser pen - it's down right funny how rowdy they get. Poor Buffy, she was ALL kinds of flustered during that massage and of course the fight that ensued just made her snap - before things got outta control. The scent of her arousal became stronger, washing over him like a tidal wave, the rush of blood in her veins overwhelming his senses until there was nothing and no one else but her, them, on the dance floor, the increasing tempo of her heartbeat echoing through his chest, making him feel as if it were his heart beating instead.

Gah! I love that part. So totally Spike. I imagine that is what it would have been like for him at this particular moment in time, so lost in the smells and sensations of being near her despite what he told himself before he touched her.

Love this story already, Dusty! I am so very glad you decided to post it. Was thinking about it last night at work when ITN came on my mp3 player. Was singing and thinking about the song and remembering this part of your story. Cannot wait to read more of it!

I absolutely love this fic already! Yes, I admit. I'm a high school fic lover. Sighs, this was terrific. I love the setup, how deluded Buffy is and how Spike is already planning to get her beneath him for real.
