AUTHOR'S NOTE - Well, I'm usually able to respond to this story, but something in my account isn't letting me, so- to spuffette, thank you so much! That was my biggest problem with writing each chapter and one of the biggest hurdles that I had to face: not everyone has a person like Spike. I was very reluctant to have everyone else back up Spike, in regards to Buffy, because there are people in this type of relationship who don't have anyone to turn to. Ultimately, I realized that it had to be done- Buffy could have done this alone, but (without going into too much detail) it would not be a story that I know how to tell. I can relate to this story and that's why it's going the way it is. Originally, I wanted Buffy to be someone who got herself out of the relationship without any help, but I didn't know how to tell it and it probably would have been forced.
Summary: A response to a challenge at the Bloodshedverse where Buffy is returned to her season II body with all her post Season VII memories. She is there due to a spell Willow performs to try to help Buffy get over mourning for Spike.
