To klara, yeah, it would be a waste of time if you didn't wait for the Spuffyness. If you've never seen a Buffy/Other in a fanfic before, then I don't know what you've been reading. But considering I didn't have anything graphic between them and he doesn't stick around till the end, I'm standing by what I wrote. Thanks so much to everyone who has reviewed since I finished the fic! I'm currently thinking of ideas for a possible sequel, but it might be a while and everyone seems happy with the ending, so I'm not going to rush it.
Summary: William "Spike" Jones is a petty car thief and hustler who loves living life but most of all he loves Buffy, a girl he met in Las Vegas. Author's Response: oh yes it certainly did take me quiteee a while to think out. well it took me about a couple completely fic consumed days. it got to a point where one of the days i was thinking up things in my sleep! and THAT is why i need to take a small break! I just wonder if I should be more clear in my thinking for ppl who get confused. It would help some understand, but it might also take away some of the curiosity of the fic which comes from not having it all explained. I cannot stress enough how much I love this story! It was wonderful to see how Joyce and Dawn reacted to Buffy and I like how Spike is slowly coming around, without being too obvious. Shorter chapters are MUCH better than nothing! I loved Dru's back story and how it was similar and different from Angel's at the same time. The subtle Spuffy build-up is going at the perfect speed. Can't wait to see what happens with the next chapter (considering the set-up for it) and I hope it's soon (hint, hint). Okay, I know it will be about a week, but I can dream :-)
Author's Response: LOL you made me laugh. I'm glad you liked the twist away from Angel's story and the speed of the Spuffy! I know it may be painful, lol, but I think in the case of this story, it's needed especially since I'm suppose to work off the feelings they have in season 5 (though its AU and i think im allowed to do whatever the heck i want but hey i guess ill try and be realistic). The set-up will not be ignored, but I can't promise you it's the VERY NEXT chapter...Don't worry, I'm always anxious to update, so you know I mindlessly submit asap. Thanks for the long review :)

Yay!!! I seriously doubt she'll take it well, but YAY!!! You just made my night and what an excellent end to the chapter. I also kind of liked Mike- he was a nice addition at the right time. Kind of like a likable Riley without all the added hatred that goes along with his character. Love the interaction- and did I mention I loved the end? LOL! Great job- I can't wait for more!!

I think 'the bitch is gone' would have been an approprate title for this chapter LOL! Don't mind me, I'm just doing a little happy dance about Leanna (yep, it carried over from the last chapter). This was a great chapter and you're getting me more interested in the unidentified characters. For a while I thought they were good and then you throw this little twist in there. And don't worry about the grader- there's a huge difference in writing something you love and get enjoyment out of, insead of writing an essay! Loved the chapter and I will be waiting anxiously for the next update!

'She pretty much sucked at all things non-violent in strategy' - I love that line and it's so true! Excellent chapter and I'm really curious to see if Spike is going to freak out when he sobers up. If he is still the 'Buffy role' I'm guessing 'yes', which would be good for angsty, but if 'no' then that's good for Spuffyness, so either way I'm happy :-) Either way, I know you're probably not through with the angst, since you love it as much as I do :-) I'll e-mail you the idea I had, but I don't think you'll be able to use it, since you've probably got the rest of the fic figured out. Good luck with midterms and I can't wait for the next update!!!

I loved Buffy's little outburst! Something I could competely imagine her doing if she had been in this situation on the show. Blech- did you have to end the chapter with Leanna? I'll probably have nightmares LOL!!! Or I'll have really sweet dreams of the chip malfunctioning and Buffy kicking her skanky...*clears throat* anyway- great chapter and I told you that you shouldn't be worried about it.
