My whole reason for watching Buffy in the first place was for David Boreanaz. I love Bones and even Spike fans must admit that DB is a total cutie on that show. At the same time I was falling in love with Bones, I was also loving the show Leverage, most notably this guy named Christian Kane - you may have heard of him (can I just say, Gah! Oh, baby!).

I actually watched the entire DVD set of Angel before I ever watched a single episode of BtVS - because, duh - DB and CK? PLEEASE! (I have to say that I liked Angel more on Angel, the Series than on BtVS - he developed a better sense of humor in L.A.! - ok, don't hate me for it!)

When I finished watching Angel, then I bought the BtVS DVD set and watched it.

When I first started watching, I couldn't figure out why everyone was so ga-ga about Spike. I mean, yeah, totally hot and too funny, but evil, right? I know he ended up GOOD from watching Angel, but how he got there was a mystery.

Then it happened - Joss redeemed Spike, Spike fell in love with Buffy, he went to the end of the world for her and she treated him like crap (bad Buffy writers!). Then, of course, I got it. I am now in the Spike corner, on his bandwagon and leading the parade.

Like most people, I turned to Fanfic to "fix" what Joss and the other evil writers on BtVS did to Spike. I've read quite a lot and then decided to give writing a go. My first story is "Unexpected" and I *TRY* to "fix" Buffy and Spike's life. Not everything is Puppies and Blood, but hopefully, it all works out in the end {{grin}}.

UH-OH!! Guess who's in for it now?!?!?! Muhahahaha ... get him, Spike! :-)

Loved the chapter, DH! Great fight scene! Really excellent! Those are not easy to write, I know! I always love Spike going all 'GRRRR-ARGH', especially in defense of Buffy or her family. And we all know he can! Loved Buffy, and everyone, for that matter, seeing just how terrifying he can be when someone he loves is threatened. One thing I love about Spike is how vicious he can be while being vulnerable too. A sweet savage! Can't wait to see who wails on Xander first ... Buffy, Spike, Anya, or Joyce! Joyce may actually be the scariest of them all! haha! Great chapter, DH! Looking forward to more. {hugs}

I have to say, I'm kinda with you, I reckon Joyce, when she wants to be, could be like, REALLY scary! :-) If he had any sense Xander would run away, but then, Xander's not exactly the sharpest tool in the box, is he? Oh my goodness! Xander, Xander, Xander! He is in soooo much shit now! I can't wait to see what happens when Buffy sees that! I do feel bad for Anya, but it would be better to find out now than while standing at the altar in her wedding dress! Of course, Spike didn't egg him on at all, did he!? :D Loved the chappie, DH! Awwww... I loved Spike's idea of the picnic and all the candles. That would be amazing! And melting the chocolate for the strawberries was brilliant, too! Perfect for Buffy! And poor Spikey, still worrying about Buffy not liking what he'd done ... glad she did! She'd be a fool not to! I look forward to the time when Buffy lets her inner-voices loose, but I understand taking it slow ... she's doing better than I would in her place! haha! And you already know my favorite line: ' ... their fingers entwined, and there they lay, staring into the past, their bodies rooted in the present, and their minds exploring and wishing for the future.' {{sigh}} You have a wonderful way with words, DH! There was a ton about this chapter that I just LOVED. You had me choking up a couple of times, then you brought the steam in, and finally you had Buffy standing up for Spike, showing him affection in front of everyone! Out of all of it, I think this line is my very favorite, though: "She could almost hear herself screaming in pleasure as Spike broke her body, then, with a gentleness and love she hoped she could be worthy of, he put her back together again." That sort of covers everything from the steam to the choking up with emotion. :) You're doing so well, Dark Heart! Hard to believe it's your first story. I certainly hope it's not your last! {hugs}

I *loved* Joyce standing up for Spike and putting Xander in his place! How much better off everyone would've been if Joyce had lived. Poor Buffy trying to deal with all that world-ending stuff and her mom dying too. This must've been at least somewhat easier for her.



I love Buffy realizing, or at least contemplating, that Spike might be a better man than Angel! Yay!! A ways to go, probably, but glad she had the thought!



Definitely need to get the spacing of paragraphs sorted out here. I'll help you work on that. Not sure if the txt file you're using is losing them or what.

Anytime tears well in my eyes as I'm reading, I count it as 'awesome', and this chapter did that. Absolutely loved this line: 'He put his heart in her deadly hands and simply waited for her to crush it.' Also really loved Buffy asserting Spike would stay unconscious just to annoy her! haha! Very true!

Now, of course, the question is, just what will Buffy do with all these realiZations in her new, grAy world? ;-D

Love Buffy's nervousness about talking to Spike and her worry that she's too late. And then Spike's worry that she's gonna kick him out of the house now. These two do have issues ... BUT YAY!! **gah** Are you *sure* you haven't done this before, Dark Heart? Not like any virgin I've ever ... oh ... uh ... never mind. Just to make sure everyone is clear - DARK HEART wrote all that lovely smutty goodness. I just fixed the commas and added in some extra paragraph breaks so I could breathe! Awesome job, DH! And I loved the scene with Joyce and Buffy at the end. Love it when Buffy laughs.

Oh, I love Buffy standing up for Spike! Finally seeing all the good he's done for them and not dismissing it! And sweet Tara finding her voice to stand with Buffy. Always love her. And of course Joyce, the lioness! I think we can see where Buffy got her Slayer blood from! Why am I afraid that we may not have seen or heard the last from Xander yet? The little weasel ... I wouldn't put anything past him! Buffy better keep a good eye on him. Too bad they can't actually dis-invite PEOPLE.

I loved Spike teaching Buffy the ways of the Jedi ... or ... well, whoever! It was quite interesting and something that I didn't think they explored enough in the show -- Spike knew how to fight in lots of ways!! He could've taught them all a lot, but they saved it all up for the Potentials. :/

Anyway, I digress! I really enjoyed that sparring / teaching session, but now you've left us with a HUGE CLIFF HANGER! Who will take out Angel??? Or at least knock him down a peg? Buffy? Spike? TARA? JOYCE!!! I can't wait for more! I hope your life calms down a bit so you have more time to write and let us know what happens next!!

It was cool doing the research to, I learned a lot as well. I love Buffy defending Spike, and someone from the PTB finally acknowledging his uniqueness, his ability to love and control his demon with no intervention from gypsies! Unlike Angelus! I also love bringing Michael and the 4 Horsemen into it. That was unexpected and pretty cool. I hope that Buffy and Spike don't end up regretting this decision to bring Capt. Forehead back! Hopefully, Angel will be sacrificed to save Spike and/or Buffy during the next Apocalypse!! Or, you know, maybe Tara will just burn him up in his sleep sometime. :) Great job, DH!
