Air Force brat but lived most my life in/near Portland, Oregon.

Came to Buffy late -- had seen a few eps over the years but didn't start watching in earnest until early 2012. Before the 2012 fandom, I had already preferred Spike over all other characters, I just didn't know him that well yet. A Doctor Who/Torchwood fan, I had seen JM's turn on Torchwood and loved him there (God, I love an id character!), then solidified that love when I got hooked on BtVS.

I'm married to a man (since 1999) who has so many qualities in common with JM & Spike, it's no wonder I got hooked. (I mean it... I understand if some of you are jealous. My guy actually even has some facial/physical similarities... but not the abs, unfortunately. But then again, James himself doesn't have the abs anymore, either.) Luckily, he's not quite as jealous as James, so he's been amenable to going with me to meet James a number of times.

And now we're a part of a great group of friends from around the world who are fans of James and his band Ghost of the Robot; we mostly meet on Facebook, but sometimes get to meet in person, and they are ALL glorious people (some of whom I see lurking and contributing here). Most recently, I got to hang with a bunch of these fine fans, as well as James and the Ghosties (well, Sullivan and Charlie), for a whole week on the Comic Con at Sea cruise.

Have been thinking about getting started writing, but concerned my plot/dialogue skills won't be sufficient. Those elements aren't important, are they? ;-) I am an excellent editor, however: I can tighten up someone else's writing, and am especially strong on mechanics, so if spelling, punctuation, grammar, syntax, or vocabulary/word use are not your strong suits, I may be the beta for you!

So, so good. Would have liked it to be longer... longer to figure out the perps, longer to develop the angsty romance, and a longer love scene would have been nice, but overall this was really well done. Enjoyed it a lot!

Still love this story so much. I love how gently you took us through their accidental mating and how reluctant they were, how they got used to it, and then cherished each other. The progression was natural and believable. 

Still would like a good beta to clean this up; lots of mistakes (including mixing up then/than, strait/straight, their/there, reveling/revealing, your/you're, etc.).

I ate this up, start to finish. What a wonderful story. There are a ton of nitpicky grammar/word/spelling errors -- would love to edit those out for you, but despite those, this is a spectacular read. The characters are spot on, love what you did with them. Dialogue sparkles and propels the story beautifully. The action is good and easy to visualize; sometimes I gloss over those passages in a fic because I sorta get lost and want to skip forward to the fight's conclusions, but I had no need with yours. I loved how you treated Angel; thought it was very believeable... loved that Spike taunted him about joining them in bed. That was SO plausible, I wondered why I hadn't seen that kind of thing in fics more often! I can't say enough about this, except I wish there was an epilogue, and I wish there was more of your stories to read on here (right now this is the only one). Would love to read more of your stuff. In the meantime, you've been added as a favorite author, and I'll cross my fingers you'll come back, or at least comment to let me know where I can devour more of your writing. Bravo!

I like thks story a lot. I read it months ago, but failed to review (sorry), so I just read it again to refresh my memory. Some mistakes (most in the beginning) that could be cleaned up, and I think Giles seems kind of out of character at times, both in some of the dialogue, and in some of his thought; at times he ponders things that the reader has no idea he should even know about, and he seems too quick to get on the Spuffy cheerleading squad (though I do get that this is a fantasy, and I think nearer to the end of the story his Spuffy acceptance seems more realistic and not as strangely excited, but tempered with Giles' usual caution).

I actually love the "rape" scene, I think it does end up being kind of romantic, and I think it's good that neither you or Buffy shied away from Spike's demon; he IS a vampire and a lot of fics ignore that and just make him an uber-man, a completely idealized romantic figure. You struck a nice balance of harsh brutality and loving devotion.

The ending kind of drops off abruptly, though. You bring in the Faith/Darla/Angelus prompt but then do nothing with them, so I'm not sure why you brought them up. Why nut just wrap up the Adam/Maggie plot point and then tie it up with a bow with setting the scoobies/Spuffy/Angel on their way, happily Sunnydale-y ever after?

All in all, a great read, with just a few little flaws. Recommended.

Fantastic. Sappy enough for the romantics, frank enough to satisfy those looking for a bit of fluff, and believable that they could get carried away after a chance encounter andwant to start seeing each other... you didn't fall into the trap some fic writers do and have them fall madly in love after first meeting. This made much more sense!
