I'm looking for an older fic. I'm pretty sure it was a Spuffy fic, since that's the only BTVS fanfics I read, normally. Anyway, I have searched everywhere for it but I don't know the name or where I read it. Spike and Dru were broken up and he was hanging out with Sam Lawson after WWII. I think it was several years after WWII cause Joyce was a child. Sam goes to see an old friend or relative and Spike goes with him. The older couple is Buffy's grandparents. Spike or Sam ends up saving Joyce, I think. Sam might have even been engaged to the grandma before he went to war. I've tried searching for Sam Lawson, putting in clues like WWII, Joyce, Spike & Sam Lawson, etc. I've even done a Google search. I've looked for stories mentioning Buffy's grandparents. I can't find it. Does anyone know what story I'm talking about? I don't believe I imagined this story. My imagination isn't that good.

In chapter 30 of Eye of Eleos by pfeifferpack, Sam tells Spike is in love with a girl named Jussi Blomqvist from Duluth and Buffy who's watching the scene says that she's her granny.
In chapter 37 Bernie (Jussi's husband) tells Sam he just saved his Joyce.

Summary: «Of course it was Willow. To really cause mayhem takes Willow's special brand of magic. When Cookies don't appease everyone who was impacted by Willow's Will Be Done spell she looks to find a way to fix it with results that she might not expect but we all should.
