Claim fic, Buffy doesn't bite over drusillas sireing mark/scar

The only thing I remember is that when Buffy claimed Spike she decided against biting over Drusilla's mark because she figured it still meant a lot to Spike and bit him somewhere else on the neck. The only other thing I really know is that it's a claim fic and that it's most likely complete since I rarely read anything else.

I know this is very little to go on but you guys are awesome at finding fics on basically no leads at all.

Also, even if you don't know the author/the title but know more of the plot it would be appreciated if you wrote that down since I remember next to nothing about the fic.

I was thinking the Childe series by Kallysten when I read this..

Thanks for the suggestion but I don't think that's it because I can't seem to find the author on any of my usual Spuffy archives (ie SR, EF and very rarely AFF) and I usually don't have the patience for series. I just found the series however and read the summary and a couple of the chapters, and I really don't think that's it, but it seems like a good read.

and I probably should have mentioned this, but I'm fairly certain that Buffy was still human when they claimed each other.

I don't remember the title but believe it could be the one where Buffy has a dream and speaks with Tara and the First Slayer. She goes to LA to get Spike and Dana. Dawn comes at the last minute and helps with a spell they are making at Clem's place.
