Spike rescues Buffy, has no memories...

Hello-

I may be mixing two different fics, but here is what I have:

Buffy is on a mission (after season 7) and gets into a bit of trouble. Her backup arrives and it's Spike, on a motorcycle. He's using a gun that shoots stakes.

Now this is where I may be confusing more than one story... I think he's lost his emotion for her, but by the end of the story, he gets it back.

Are they fighting the fates and spike has a tattoo that has a significant role near the end?
