Riley thinks Buffy's dorm room smells like fish after she and Spike spend the night together.

I've been trying to find this one for a while now. Here is what I remember:

-Timeline is summer after S4 and goes into S5.
-Giles wants Buffy and Spike to get along better if they were going to be working together; they end up sharing a couple kisses during the summer while Riley is away. They (at least Buffy) think it must be a spell, but are unable to find any evidence of such.
-Buffy gets a single room at the dorms and Riley is surprised she failed to mention it to him.
-Buffy ends up very drunk at a bar one night and was playing darts. Spike finds her and somehow they end up in a semi-wooded area on campus and sleep together for the first time. After they conclude, Buffy throws up on him and he carries her to her mother's home on Revello Drive. The next day Joyce has some words for Buffy in regards to underage drinking.
-Spike relentlessly tries to get Buffy to agree to another night with him, but she is feeling guilty for cheating on her boyfriend. She finally gives in one night at the Bronze and they agree to his crypt on Wednesday after patrol. Spike gets impatient and shows up two days early at her dorm.
-After their night together, Riley shows up at Buffy's dorm that morning and says her room smells weird and asks her if she had been eating fish in her room the night before.
-Pretty sure Riley figures out what happened and goes on one of his jealous rampages to eliminate Spike.
-Buffy and Spike don't see each other for a while, during which time Spike starts doing things to make a few people on campus call him a hero.
-They start patrolling together and gradually build up a real friendship toward the end before being with each other again.

Hopefully this is enough info for someone to help find this fic. It wasn't even that long ago that I read it.

This sounds like the sequel to slaymesoftly's Are We Friends?, Just A Summer Romance.

That was the fiction I was going to suggest, but it sounds like it might be something else. I don't remember some of those details in slaymesoftly's story.

OMG the subject line is hilarious!!!. That whole thing of sex smelling fishy has always tickled me to no end. Seriously, if your room smells like fish after you have sex, either you or your partner needs to go to the doctor immediately and get checked out. Now I want to read this story...lol!
