AH fic ends with Spike on the back porch of Buffy's house thinking she got on an airplane and left

This is probably the only part of the fic that I remember. For anyone who has watched the show FRIENDS, it reminded me of the series finale where Ross was yelling at the answering machine and Rachel walks in saying she didn't get on the plane.

For some reason I feel like I remember him leaving her years ago, then they get back together again and then for some reason she goes to leave somewhere at the end. Spike was sitting on the back porch of the Revello Drive house and I believe at some point having a conversation with Joyce and then Buffy shows up. I know this isn't much to go on. Hopefully someone can help me out. Thanks in advance
