First time I'm posting a request, so hopefully I'm following the rules and placing in the correct forum. I read this a bit ago, however, cannot remember the title or author. It is a historical story set in the 1800s in America. The wagon of Willow and Xander is attacked by William/Spike. A mysterious girl Elizabeth saves them, but she has no memories. They bed down in an abandon house, where violence/murder obviously occurred, and tie up Spike. He escapes but is drawn to this powerful lost girl. Eventualy, it turns out that Elizabeth is the notorious Slayer, the bandit who attacks travelers/carriages to steal from the rich. [Faith is also a Slayer, which helps with keeping from being caught as descriptions from victims vary between the two.] Later in the story, Angel, Darla and Dru come into the story at their mansion. It turns out that Buffy has a history with them, specifically Angel who helped train her. I think it ends with Buffy (and Spike) settling down at her family estate/plantation, which she had been trying to save through her highwayman antics. [I think a freed slave, either Gunn or Robin, helps run the grounds/farm of the estate.] Appreciate the assistance, especially if you patiently read through this long description. |
