feral spike

i don't remember much of this fic. i remember it was post S3 because angel was in l.a.
spike was feral and the scoobies used magic to keep him in a room, there was a barrier keeping him in i think. everytime buffy came into the room spike would bite her not to hurt her or anything but just to make sure she's ok. i think buffy called angel and when he came down to see spike he told everyone that spike was speaking a vamp language

that sounds like a scene pretty late in the long fic A Taste of Juliet. After Spike has been turned feral from experiments or starving by the Initiative in season four, he's brought back to the Watcher's apartment. He instinctively goes after Buffy, and Angel helps him as he speaks in a growly language.

Besides the one anon gave I can think of only two others and they don't really fit what you're looking for.

One of them has a feral Spike 'after' Dru dies (and I believe Angel is dusted to at Buffy's hands). The other has Spike getting sucked into hell during Becoming instead of Angel and he comes back Feral. Like I said they don't exactly fit your criteria, but I'll keep a look out for what you're seeking.

I think the fic you're talking about is The Evil Inside, by Jypzrose. Buffy and Spike get trapped in an evil house and by the time they escape he's gone feral. The Scoobies have to magically seal him in a room for a while at some point. Here's the link:
