Spike as a military weapon...?

Gaaaah! Ive been trying to find this story for so long.

Its about Buffy being hired to go to some army camp to teach Spike how to be human. I think she's a doctor in here. Spike is some kind of superhuman army guy whos trained to withstand anything. Theres this one scene where it was a training exercise and he was being hosed down or something by army dudes because they wanted to know the name he was supposed to keep a secret and it was Buffy's.

I remember the last chapter that I read. They were gonna have dinner at Buffys apartment and Spike got flowers for her when he arrived. Buffy kissed him on the cheek and this made spike very happy. Her kept on leaving her apartment to get more flowers so he could have more kisses. hehe.

I remember reading that story here on SR a while ago, but it was taken down for some reason. Buffy is like a psychiatrist who is supposed to teach Spike how to behave and act in regular life after he only remembers the last few years of itnensive training and being treated like less than a person, where one of his punishments meant that he had to stand in one place with his arms held out at his side and allow Riley to beat him. I want to say it was called Man without a Name, or Face... or that could be from something else.

Anyway, I think that story was taken down permanently. If someone remembers teh title and author, though, it might be found on Wayback.

Parts of this sound like In the ARMY Now by Im_Bloody_English.

ETA Never mind...just the flowers part and the army part.

It's The Man Who Didn't Exist by squawks It's taken down off the internet entirely by the author. Email me privately through TSR and I can send you the only copy I have. It is unfinished though.

How Many chapters were written?

I have through chapter seventeen. I do not know if there were any more written after that but that's all I got before she took it down.
