Someone else posted a search for what I'm thinking is the same fic, and I'm hoping English is not their first language. I believe she tried to contact him after she found out she was pregnant, but a woman answered his phone, and she decided he didn't love her anymore so didn't leave a message, then when she thought he deserved to know, the number was no longer good. Three or four years later, she is in Los Angles on business, runs in to him and decides to let him know the truth. He visits her and their son In San Francisco. I also remember that he's in a relationship with Harmony at the time, and she's an actress. Buffy is chosen to dress her for an awards ceremony. I also think the reason Buffy may not have known how to find him was because he goes by Spike now, rather than William, and she only knew him as William. I believe he's a successful musician. After all is said and done, it ends well. Not a lot of angst. They pretty much fall hard the minute they lay eyes one another again. Buffy is just concerned about her son getting hurt.
