i am looking for a fic I read a while ago.
I think it takes place in the 1920s or 30s. Spike has a bar in New York and Buffy works for him as a singer. She is also his mistress, but feels really bad about it.
She helps her mom and her sister Dawn out by sending them the money Spike gives her.
I think Riley also works for Spike as a bouncer and one day gives Buffy a letter from her mom or Dawn (?) saying that her mom is really sick. But Spikes notices it and gets jealous so she has to tell them about her family, something she actually didn't want to because she is ashamed of having a relationship with Spike, I think because they were unmarried.
Spike then decides to come with her to California as her fiancee.
I think it was a WIP.

It would also be awesome if someone knows if the story was ever finished.
