Buffy and Spike have not been in contact, but meet at Dawn's graduation. Buffy is sick (liver cancer?) and doesn't want anyone to know, but Spike smells it on her. Despite Buffy saying she wants him to go, he stays with her through her last days. I hope that doesn't count as a huge spoiler (if it does, pls feel free to remove the post), but this was a wonderfully sad and bittersweet story.

If anyone can pinpoint which it was it should be right for your request.

Indeed, that is the one. Should have known it was Anaross, anything by her is worth reading.

It was meant to be a rec for Ladymirth's request for tragic stories (I have read this one). But since Stay was already advised, I fear this thread will be moot.
