Baby

I'm looking for a fic that I've been thinking of lately that I read a long time ago, so I can only remember a few things from it. Here's what I remember:

- Buffy and Spike together
- They try to get pregnant but have to use a special potion
- I think the pregnancy is destined, like it is supposed to be the key
- Takes place in early Season 4 because I remember a scene from when Buffy first meets Riley in the book store, and when they meet he sees that Buffy has a book about pregnancy and she says that she and her boyfriend/husband are trying to have a baby and Riley doesn't understand why she would want to when shes so young

That Riley scene sounds like Catching Flies by Kari Mouke- I don't remember much of the fic, but I do know that there was a potion involved. I have a copy of it at dz81389@gmail.com, or maybe someone has it at via the Wayback Machine?

That special potions part sounds an awful lot like Checkverse by Xela. And the prophecy baby or destiny pregnancy sounds a lot like Kari Mouke's Normal. That's what they came to in their conclusion for why Buffy and Spike suddenly have a baby between them. And they name her Dawn as she is the key, but Spike and Buffy get quite aggravated when people refer to her as this.

Something else that I remember: the potion makes Spike human for a certain amount of time making him fertile

Just read Catching Flies on the way home, and it sounds like it's it- The monks need Buffy to give birth to Dawn, so Spike takes a potion to make himself human- during that time, that scene with Riley happens.
