During season 4 spike is down in Brazil in a bar with some demons, one of which is a vengeance demon. One of the demons can go into people's future selves and is commenting on how nasty it is. Spike says it can't be that bad and the demon wishes he could experience it - which is granted by the vengeance demon. He ends up in season 6 after smashed and is disgusted with himself in love with the slayer. He ends up falling in love with her again and when the demons bring him back goes to Sunnydale and is right when Buffy is first seeing parker.

For the life of me I can't think of the name of it, anybody remember?
