What's confusing about PoM is that Barb has written the parts/chapters out of order. So, the ending has actually been posted some places. However, she is still working on the parts leading up to that ending. She is almost there - at least the latest chapters are leading up to the final in an obvious way. Because it is so long, and covers so many years of their lives, it has been possible for her to write and post complete-within-themselves parts set at different times in their lives. Each adventure is capable of standing alone as well as being another chapter in the on-going sage that is Spike and Buffy and their family. All, however, tie together and lead the reader toward the conclusion. She just finished part nine and ten - which are definitely setting up the events of the conclusion. However, there is a bit more to go. |
