Post-Chosen fic where Spike ends up at Wolfram and Hart with Angel- though I'm not sure if he's incorporeal or if it's like canon.
A lot of stuff is going on and Angel and Spike are kinda annoying to each other but still close. Spike gets along with Angel's gang. Late, Dawn turns up because she's heard Spike is there, but before she can reunite with him, Angel comes across Spike in game face with his hands around Cordelia's neck as she lies in a coma. Angel dusts Spike to protect Cordelia, even as it hurts him because they've grown close again. Upset and numb, he walks away without noticing Dawn crying in the hallway. It turns out Spike was putting a necklace around Cordelia's neck, but the clasp was broken, so he went into gameface to see it better. There is a mention of Dracula and how he wills himself to reform when Spike manages to reform from dust after Angel stakes him.
It was a long fic and pretty complicated. |
