I think maybe they met at the Bronze? They continued sleeping together and then Spike's dad dies. They are at his place and he wakes up to find her making breakfast and setting arrangements for him to go home for the funeral.

He goes home to bury his dad and sleeps with and old flame. Then Buffy shows up at his hotel room and get's rid of her. She isn't mad about what he did and she takes care of him. Goes with him to the funeral and everything.
