All I can remember are snippets of details and I may be combining 2 fics, but it's all human and Spike and Buffy meet and start a relationship. I think it turns out that Spike is minor nobility, Rupert and possibly Joyce are his parents and Spike takes Buffy home to England to meet them.
I think they come back to the US and have a major fight and break up? The end result is that Spike ends up back home with his parents on a HUGE drinking binge. Buffy finally calls him but he hangs up on her several times until she manages to get Rupert on the phone (or possibly Joyce) they give her an idea what's been up with Spike and she flies back. When she gets there she ends up having to walk to the local and drag Spikes drunk ass home, where he proceeds to try to freeze her out. He slowly dries out and starts to forgive her and there is a HEA but I don't remember any more details. |
