The fic I am looking for has Spike getting injured by a demon, and it brings out his inner William. Buffy takes him to Giles place where he stays on the couch, and when he's not unconciuos William is at the forefront, and every so often "Spike" comes out. Willow, I believe, tries to fix things with magic resulting in a botched tabula rasa spell, that affects her, angel and xander. Buffy, Spike, Giles, and Anya are spared because Anya placed wards around the house, using spells Anya made when she was human. Also in this story Willow ends up turning into a miniture statue due to her overuse of magic, and they have to find a white witch who can help her (cue Tara). And the only way to cure Spike is by Buffy's tears which they don't figure out until the end after they think he is dead and Buffy sheds tears over him. I also think there is something about Angel placing a claim on Buffy and when he comes to sunnydale because of the botched spell, Anya gets him to remove the claim. Although that last part could be an entirely different fic.
