Spike turns Buffy when she's gravely injured.

I just read this the other day (again) and forgot who wrote it or the title. Very frustrating - especially since I have searched very variation of vamp buffy and glowy buffy, etc.

I give up. This fic starts with Spike going to Buffy in Rome, and just as they are back together, Buffy is wounded. At first they think it's just a wound, but it gets worse, and they discover it's a poison they can't cure, so Spike has to turn Buffy or all the slayers will lose their powers. After turning, Buffy's soul hovers over her until she wakes. Xander shows up with a werewolf girlfriend, and at the end Lorne gives Buffy some bad news, which leads into a sequel (I think).

I'm sure it's obvious and I will be embarrassed, but ugh - so frustrated!

Nope, not that one! That's an awesome one, though. The wound starts to spread like spider veins. Angel shows up for support. At one point, Spike has to restrain Buffy from going after Willow and Dawn. She also can sense when a slayer is having a nightmare and can soothe them.

I really hate it when I forget to bookmark something. I even dumped my entire history on all my devices hoping for a link! ARgh!

All that happens in the first of the forever series. Extract from chapter 14... "A faint line was the only scar, but the bruise had not gone away. In fact, it looked worse. Spanning out from the oblong-ish blue bruise were spidery blue veins."

He calls Angel for help in Chapter 15. She soothes Angelina's dream in chapter 32. Spike stops her attacking Willow/Dawn/some slayers at the end of chap 33. Xander and his werewolf girlfriend arrive in chap 35. The epilogue ends with Lorne telling Buffy they need to talk.

OMG, you are SO RIGHT. I thought you meant the Alone series and I was just .... so way off! Good grief.

The third, Forevermore, wasn't written as far as I am aware.

Ah well.
