I know this is an archetype and i love it so if you wanna respond with random fics that come near fitting or fall into this category-ish i'm down but i AM looking for something specific.

They're off to fix some big apocalypse thing. For some reason the state of martland comes to mind but i'm not sure thats right. At some point theyre arguing while pulled over by the side of the road and buffy gets slashed by a demon. makes her suuuuper sick. though shes turning blue spike saves her from death. I think demons have actually been sent to track her down.
