Buffy's Resurrection Makes her Immortal

A long, long time ago I read the beginning of an intriguing fic (Spuffy) in which Tara discovers that Willow's spell has brought back Buffy in a permanent, immortal slayer package. She angry at Willow and the Scoobies, and also devastated at the loss of heaven; she naturally runs to Spike for comfort. She has him drain her, passes out, and then sure enough she springs back immortal and good as new.

That's all I can remember. I think it was an unfinished WIP -- only a few chapters had been posted -- although maybe it has since been completed? Does anyone remember this fic -- the author or the title?

I would also be interested in any other fics (Spuffy) of a similar nature, in which Buffy is rendered immortal somehow and has to deal with the ramifications of this (with Spike).

take a look at out of the ashes by revello1620 has immortal buffy leaving after graduation and meeting up with spike in paris they get together then the scoobs seek help from phoenix investigations against glory. no dawn tho

Is that Thrall by Chase? Buffy is immortal in that one, and tries to have Spike kill her, but I think he finds out and refuses, but it sounds similar . . . if not, you should still check it out, it's amazing!

Oh, thank you. It did turn out to be Chase's "Thrall" after all. I would never have found it on my own since I had completely forgotten the name of it. What an excellent fic. I will forever be sorry that it was never finished, since there was obviously some great potential for an angsty romance, and interesting further conflict with the Scoobies there, that could have been further developed had the story been longer than 9 chapters. (Although what is there is great -- the characterizations of Buffy and Spike are particularly excellent).

The other one, by revello1620, though not the fic I was looking for, was also very enjoyable. Thanks for that too.
