Spike leaves and wants nothing to do with Buffy or Dawn

I don't remember much of this but I do remember that Dawn tracks Spike down in a bar and gets herself into some kind of trouble believing that Spike will save her and prove he still cares. He does not save her however...but eventually he comes around by the end of the story.
