I remember reading a fic once upon a time, years ago. It's set in season 6, after "All the Way". I think it was a short fic, just fluffy. At one point Buffy & the gang are in the Magic Box and she's just reflecting on how disconnected she feels.
Spike then walks in and before he leaves, he says something like "Oh, Slayer..."
*brings out a bell and gives it a ring*
Buffy breaks out into hearty honest laughter. Everyone else just stares and gawks. Then Buffy walks over to Spike and kisses him in appreciation..
I don't remember other details but this fic gave me the warm fuzzies. And after re-watching season 6, it reminded me of it.
