Spike and Tara are very close friends, Buffy's quite mean before falling for Spike

I have been wracking my brains. If this has been found previously, I apologize, but I've tried every searchterm I can think of.

I think it's season 3 or 4. Spike goes away from Sunnydale and finds Tara and they go on a roadtrip, eventually coming to the Hellmouth. They have a house together, and Tara goes to school, wherein she meets Willow. Willow invites Tara to the Bronze, and Spike comes along. Buffy sees him there and is cruel, to the point that Spike carves 'be a good boy' into his arm with a bottle-cap.
Later on, Spike starts teaching Xander to surf.

You'd think with everything I remember from this fic that I'd remember the name and author too.

I'm sure I've seen that fic at the Bloodshedverse.
