I have rewritten the first part of it (that wasn't mine) and even though this entire story is written by me, I did not come up with the idea and the first few chapters are just my interpretation - I merely elaborated on what was previously written and changed the storyline a little bit.

Spuffyfantasy had an 'adopt-a-fic' area that authors could authorize others to take over their fics and finish them up and if I recall correctly this is how Ashlee wound up doing this one. I remember being thrilled when she did so because I really liked the germ of the idea for this story.
