looking for a fic i read so many years ago. It starts out with Buffy coming back from the dead but not because of a spell Willow and the gang did i think the PTB return her, anyway she goes home where Dawn and Giles are Dawn answers and runs screaming from Buffy slaming the door Giles freaks a bit too but not as bad as Dawn, they finally figure out that it is really Buffy and everyone comes over to see her.

Later Buffy walks Spike out and they talk about the night she died and she says to him about him saying she could never love him "Never say never". As the fic goes on i remember they fall in love and become a couple and Buffy falls pregnant and Spike thinks at first that she cheated cause vamps can't have babies and cause she gets so upset she gets detracted and a demon or something stabs her or slits her throat i think in a cemetery.

She comes before the PTB where they tell her she was never meant to fall pregnant it was darla and Angel who where meant to have the baby and Buffy has a choice they can makes things how they where meant to be (Darla pregnant not her) or she can return still pregnant (i think they tell her having the baby will or might kill her) she chooses to return pregnant. The only other thing i remember is that Giles goes off at Spike for yelling at her and accusing her of cheating.

Anyway hope someone remembers it i have been trying to remember its title for so long.

There are a couple of stories where Buffy becomes pregnant and some where Spike thinks she cheated on him (i.e Live and Breathe by Mercy at Sinister Attraction, although it's based after Chosen). The only one that I can find however that has the bit where Buffy talks to a rep from the PTB is in Whispers of Eternity by Ashlee. You can find it at Elysian Fields and the summary is:-

Battling a demon on a routine patrol one night, Buffy is seriously injured. When Giles realizes the full extent of the damage, he knows there is only one person who can help her get back to the Slayer she used to be.

It is based in Season 5 so it may not be the one you're looking for, but it's a good one nonetheless.

No it's not either of them damn but they both look like great reads thanks. I remember they web page i found this fic on had a purple back ground don't know if that helps at all.

I also just remembered that after her return Willow and i think Tara take her to see her grave and there are heaps of flowers there and they tell Buffy that it was Spike he would visit her often and always bring flowers cause he wanted her to have pretty things.

Was the website Forbidden Kisses? That has a light purple/blueish background...

Second Chance on JackOfSpikes site has the powers sending Buffy back in time after Angel's battle in LA but its to season 2 not season 6
