Hello!
I'm looking for a fic I read about two years ago so the details may be a bit fuzzy, also I'm pretty sure I read at fanfiction net but now I can't find it.
First of all it was a very long fic and I believe it was a WIP. Anyway, in the story Buffy was the Slayer, but when her watcher died she was trained by Angel and Doyle in LA and then they go to Sunnydale. Giles later joins them with his son Spike and adopted daughter Tara, who had been physically abused by her real parents. Buffy's dating Riley in the fic but is very close to Spike, who I believe has admitted he's in love with her. They share a special bond, and on patrol one night Drucilla attacks Spike and almost suceeds in turning him. I think somehow Buffy gives him her blood so that he can live and Spike becomes a vampire hybrid, but can still go out in the sun. I believe Giles was very upset with Buffy for doing this.
Also I remember Riley asking Buffy to marry him. When she later starts to tell the gang about it, Spike leaves before she can tell him that she turned Riley down. Buffy later finds him under a tree and tells him what really happen and they kiss and get together, though their relationship isn't always so easy after that.
Though Buffy and Spike were the main characters, the story also focused on their friends. I think that Willow and Tara were together and Cordelia and Doyle. Though later Doyle died and she almost go together with Angel.
Okay, that was a lot of information and I know it might not have made much sense, but it's what I remember. Hopefully someone will know what fic I'm talking about. It was a very well written story and extremely funny and sad at times. |
