Spikes discovers Buffy instead of Dawn

I remember a great story where Spike is the one who discovers Buffy after her resurrection instead of Dawn. She's really wild and scared but because of his experience with Dru he knows how to get through to her. Hope this sounds familiar to someone.

Spikelicious' fic Family Ties comes to mind, it's a good read even if it's not the one you're trying to find.

That was a great story, like anything by Holly, but it wasn't the one I was looking for.

Nope. Still looking. I remember Spike found her in the alley but he originally thought she was a normal frightened girl. Spike had to talk soft and soothing to her and it specifically said that his experience with Dru helped him know what to do. I hope that sounds familiar to someone.
